Description
A classic motion detector switches off the light as soon as you stay still for too long. The SNZB-06P uses a 5.8 GHz mmWave radar that detects actual presence — movement AND breathing — and keeps your automations active as long as you are in the room.
Key points
📡 5.8 GHz mmWave radar - stationary detection
Unlike a classic PIR, microwave radar detects micro-movements of the body and breathing. A person sitting, sleeping or stationary is detected without interruption.
💡 Integrated light sensor
Activation only triggers below the ambient light threshold you configure. Result: the light never turns on in the middle of the day, only when necessary.
⚡ Integrated Zigbee repeater
Continuously powered via USB-C, the SNZB-06P also acts as a router in your Zigbee network and automatically reinforces its range.
🎛️ Adjustable sensitivity and detection duration
3 sensitivity levels (low 3m - medium 3.5m - high 4m) and configurable detection duration from 15 seconds to 65,535 seconds. Ideal for avoiding false positives related to pets, curtains, or fans.

⚠️ A compatible Zigbee hub is mandatory to configure advanced settings (sensitivity, detection duration, brightness). With an old SONOFF ZBBridge hub (non-Pro), the sensor is only recognized as a basic motion detector without access to advanced settings. Preferably use the ZBBridge-P, NSPanel Pro, ZBDongle-P/E, or iHost.

💡 Our recommendation: Under Home Assistant, update the firmware to v1.0.5 minimum before any configuration - older versions have a minimum detection delay locked at 30 seconds. Set the sensitivity to "medium" initially and adjust according to your room. Avoid pointing the sensor towards curtains, fans, or pets which can generate false positives. If multiple sensors are needed, space them at least 1.5 meters apart and avoid orienting them face-to-face.
